Seems like there's a lot of ppl on here who can pass the sweets.I'm the same.I actually just love home cooking....the good stuff lol & it's hard to portion it out.Same goes for the good breads.
Since artifical sweetners are a no no ....have learned to pass them...so no sodas, sweetened tea etc.Love chips & peanuts.....but staying away from them.

Here's the link about artificial sugars:

Yoou all know I think the stuff is toxic. It paralyzes one shoulder if I have any - my daughter gets severe headaches. Most airlines do not allow pilots to use Nutrasweet because it interferes with brain functioning and "we" feed it to our children. Yikes!

Off to the Crop Walk. It chilly and overcast, but not raining.

It's a rainy day here in the Ozarks. Good day to work on unfinished projects or start a new one. After over a week of no weight loss, I finally started losing again. Just had to add some extra "mileage" each day to get the metabolism jump started. One-derland is still a couple of months away but I can't wait to celebrate it!

Well I had a wonderful surprise while sitting here in the hospital. My son and daughter in law came in from Houston to visit with me. IT was such a blessing and suprise. Also brought me some peace seeing them.

Pain is still the same, no new changes with lungs. Should see the surgeon tomorrow and then will have surgery.

Thanks for all the prayers and support.

marscrafter how wonderful "one-derland" So happy for you
Cindy that's great news hope you can go home quickly after your surgery. It must have been so special to have your son and dil visit. That had to be wonderful.
I have never been in favor of artificial sweeteners I almost never drink sodas and I like to use lots of lemon in my tea. Lemon is one thing cancer does not like. So with that in my family I use a lot of it.
It's hot and windy again today so the garden only had a little work on it this morning after walk of 2 miles with dh and Jasper.
Hope that we all stay on track for a big finish for the month.
Good luck to all and have a blessed day.
    Hugs

Good evening friends. You've been chatty today. I try to do a little every day. I notice that when I stay in bed, that is all I wanna do. Took Josh to practice his parallel parking. He may want to bump his drivers test a few more days. I think I got all the paperwork in order from me teaching him to drive - at least I pray it is all correct.

I've been grouping my recipes into categories so that I can put menus together in a jiff. At least my down time won't be totally wasted.

Judy, I don't use Nutrasweet nor Splenda. My nemesis has always been Dr Pepper. I read enough horror stories early about Equal to shun it and how an unapproved product all of a sudden had the blessing of the FDA. I won't even go near that soap box.

When I got off the Dr Pepper, and a month into the 17day diet, my cholesterol levels plummeted. HFCS is another health hazard.

    Have a great Sunday evening.

I've always noticed that any list of diet recipes is usually heavy on desserts/sweets.
Not using artifical sweetners saves me a bundle.....so I shouldn't complain about the fresh produce prices.

    Shouldn't but do ! LOL

Interesting article Irishrose, I'll have to think more about that in my diet. I usually am good about not using artificial sweeteners in my food, but I do drink diet sodas. I have tried the sugar sweetened crystal light which isn't bad too, they have a version with no artificial sweeteners or coloring.

Today we did more yard work clearing out some weeds, and I'm sore all over. LOL Five more days until the end of the month, just wanted to say congratulations to everyone for sticking with it! I guess my goals for next month are going to include cutting out diet soda. Have a good week everyone.
