    The new Lady's maid's name was Baxter. Much nicer person than O'Brien!

    I think what they were all so fascinated by was that the sewing machine was electric. That's why she had to sew in the servant's dining room - it was the only place with an electric outlet. I remember some episodes with new electric kitchen appliances too.

    SherylM- that's it. I couldn't think of her name. And I remember the other things you mentioned as well.
    Miss O'Brien and Thomas were always in cahoots about something!
