What a beautiful pic. Please be careful especially when she comes next year or the next with a fawn.

Such a peaceful girl. I am sure that she is grateful to you for giving her the food.

Beautiful pic. I could sit for hours watching the deer and birds and all the other critters that come to visit us. We even had a huge black bear in the spring, but he eventually went away, (thank goodness)

I have a friend that a couple years ago found a dead mom (hit by car), and the fawn just laying beside her. Took her home, and we all got to come bottle feed her and take care of her. They are such sweet, incredibly wonderful creatures. Can't understand how anyone could hunt them (I am a firm believer that all meat originates in those little saran wrapped packages in the store). she eventually went to live with a friend of theirs who integrated her back into the wild. I remember petting her, nuzzling with her, and watching my son be chased by her. Thanks for the memory! Virg

Here they can't tell the difference between my flower beds, garden plants and trees. They are a menace to all here in the very rural area where I live. So many get injured hitting them with cars, they do crop damage and my DH and I have hit 4 of them ourselves, 2 each.

we have friends who raised one like that last year-it played like a dog with my grand kids.he was not penned in so he blended with the wild ones but still comes to visit this year.
