    Never done this before can the flat rate boxes be used
    I wanted to send some one some fabric. Any inforation
    you can share would be great.

    Flat rate boxes can be used but at a different rate than US postage.

    You can use the Priority Flat Rate boxes, but the rates to Canada are not the same as the U.S. Go to USPS.com, click on International shipping, choose the correct country, & it will tell you the International Priority Flat Rate cost.

    I just send some fabric to canada, and I the priority rate was more expensive than the regular rate, to be in the safe side go to the post office and check their rates or go to www.usps.com and they have all the rates and charges there

    Make sure you mark it as a gift on the customs slip or the recipient may end up paying duty on it.
