Should I serge the edge?

Should I serge the edge?
I am making some curtains for our grand son's room. He picked out this see through softer than burlap type of fabric.
It has a finished edge for the top and hem, but the sides will need to be sewn so they don't unravel. I could roll it with a 1/4 fold twice then hem but I am wondering if it will twist and not hang right. And if serging the two sides of each curtain will look good. I plan on using dark green and black thread on the serger.
Here is a picture of the fabric, I held it up to the window so you can see how see through it is. We bought it our local Army surplus store. It's a woodland camo print and is quite soft to the touch. Don't mind the heart shaped shadows those aren't in the fabric.....lol

You could serge it and then turn it under just the width of the serging and topstitch which is probably what i would do.
Also, if you hem the bottom in a wide hem, it will make them hang better.
Can you tell I've made a few curtains and drapes? lol
