When my husband was alive if either of us bought something we always told each other about it. To us it was being honest with each other. If you are trying to hide it , to me it is the same as lieing.

I'm not trying to hide it, he knows I bought the machines. I just felt dumb that I didn't realize the bobbin didn't fit the machine. This was a bobbin that Singer sent with the machine so I never thought about it being the wrong one. It was more in jest at how dumb I felt. We'll have a big laugh about it, I'm sure, next week when we have a chance to talk.

Good to hear.....Tell him how silly you feel about it and that you need to go to the fabric shop cause 3 machines use a lot of fabric......LOL

I always tell, maybe cause I have never been able to keep a secret from him. Guess it goes with being married over 40 years. LOL

You were going to try to get the machine to "sew long enough to sell it"? Really?

Honesty with your spouse is of the utmost importance. Without it there is no trust. (And maybe no more machines)

I, too, always tell, but without the same courtesy being returned. But at least I can sleep at night!

my husband's 85 year old grandma said that you don't have to let your husband know everything. He wanted to buy ad $40 picture for their living room but grandma had me take her to a studio and paid $450 for one but if grandpa asked it was only $39. When he heard the $39 he thought we picked out a good one.
