This photo was taken this morning, July 2,2010 about 6:45 am, here in eastern Oregon. I woke up, looked out my back deck , hearing raindrops, and managed to look in amazement that I heard a few splatters, and saw this gorgeous shot.. So blessed this morning.

Mrs.B I love your photos! Your pelicans are BEAUTIFUL; thanks to the BP's oil spill our(USA) gulf pelicans are caked with oil slug. Even with volunteers washing them, many are dying. The wildlife is suffering so dreadfully right now and with millions of birds migrating to this same area to make their yearly nest, more will die. There are even reports that the sharks and dolphins are coming to the coast line trying to get away from the pollution. Most certain there is no way to save even half of these animals. As they die, wash up on shore and decay, the stinch is going to be horrid. In my humble little opinion, it will not be long before human beings will begin having allergic reactions in the coastal states. So once again, Mrs.B, thank you for posting the beauty of pelicans--it will help me get over the images being broadcast on the medias. And, if anyone has an extra moment in your prayer tonight, please ask for the safety and success for the men and women still trying to stop this massive oil leak and bless the families whose fathers have been killed.
