Last quilt I have every made for someone who doesn't understand the time & work that goes into them. Did I mention that the quilt was totally needle turned applique and hand quilted!
Sadly, some people like their dogs more than they like their kids. But I know exactly what you mean - all that work for a dog who can't appreciate any of it - and apparently for a friend who can't either.

:-( What a fate for somebodies loving work. Sad, makes me wonder what will ever happen to all the quilts I've made.

I've heard of some who have used lap top size quilts in the garage to wipe the grease off them after working on their cars, lawnmowers, etc. Makes you want to just sit down and cry.

I did contact the agent for the house, as ethically, I can't (and won't violate that) contact the POA directly. Haven't heard a word yet. When speaking to someone (not on the QB) it was said, just go and take it, no one will know. Well, I WILL! (Know, not take it)

I like your work ethics!! I hope you hear back from the POA soon. If not keep trying, he or she may be caught up in settling the estate and just have too much going on right now. Maybe you can remind them that the home will show better if the extra 'stuff' isn't in the home. I really hope you can get this quilt so you can give it a good home!
