go to your local walgreens or pharmacy get a bottle of melatonin
Looks like this, they have a generic version.

This is what it does..

I use it almost every night and we give it to our daughter when she has trouble sleeping (which is rare) I used to take Ambien but i like melatonin better. No side effects and you dont get that drowsy feeling.

Yes, sleep apnea is a problem for alot - my machine helps alot when I wear it at night. Stopping breathing causes alot of problems, naturally. If your DH jerks alot, he might be having alot of circulation problems - does he exercise at all, or do stretches? Has he gained a little weight lately?? Good luck - it can be nerve racking!

My hubby has sleep apnea. Not something to mess around with. He finally has accepted the fact that he has to sleep with his machine. His snoring was so loud before that the windows would rattle. (small exaggeration)

I would definitely get him checked. My husband had major surgery last year. Cannot sleep past 4:00am. Sometimes anesthesia can have a lasting effect. Sometimes it takes over a year to rid the body of it.

Yes, get to a doctor! If you don't sleep, your driving will suffer to the point that it is worse then drinking.
Mine was fibromylgia -sorry about spelling.I had sleep debravation. I was falling asleep at the wheel, at the cmputer you name it - until I was diagnosed.
I now take a 1/2 sleeping pill, now I sleep through the night.
I am happy when I wake up and lots of energy.
Sleep is important.

I think I'd check with a naturopathic doctor and see if there might be some vitamins or minerals he's low on. Sometimes just correcting our levels makes a huge difference in how our body functions. And please do some reading on the Internet about Vitamin D3.
