I saw this a while ago, and am hoping to accomplish making two to fit my needs. Perhaps you might get some ideas for your couch as well????

I bought a ready made fleece blanket that matched the leather sofa. That was too hot for the hubs. So plan B was a towel that matched. Because the towel is cotton, it seems to breathe. We've had it there since June. So far, so good. Easy to wash and maintain. Do whatever is easiest. Remember whatever it is will probably eventually develop stains from skin and hair oil.

My husband asked for the same thing yesterday. He suggested making a large pillowcase to cover the back where his head is and back because the leather is cold during the winter. Thanks for starting this thread. LOL Maybe I will get it done before summer.

grmamrtha1, thank you so much for that link to the tutorial. AnitaSt did a fabulous job on the tutorial. I've printed it out & will use that as my guide.
coopah, I made one out of a couple of large towels for a recliner we once had years ago & it worked really well. It was just a "hit & miss" put together but he used it for years. Then we gave the recliner to DD & DSIL and they are still using the towel cover.

The biggest issue you face with any type of covering on leather is that it slides. You could make one that only covers the back and the seat but it needs to have a way to anchor it to chair without using the traditional pins.
