Oh my word! I'd completely forgotten all about paper dresses! I had one, too! And I remember seeing one on "Antiques Roadshow". It had never been worn & was appraised pretty high.

OK... who had a pair of "boy watchers"?

We had a store called Goldmann’s, just down the street from Schusters. It had everything, a lunch counter, glass candy cases, fabric, notions, suits, even shoes and underpants for the nuns. The creaky wooden floors went up and down like a rolling ship. The floor walker used to scare the heck out of us kids.

Oh, I'd forgotten all about floor walkers! They were scary! Almost as scary as the attendant who roamed around during the movies to make sure you weren't putting your feet on the seat in front of you (or worse!)!
