I survived but I sure wouldn't let any of my daughters play in the field from dawn to dark nowadays. swimming with the fish and I remember a few leaches in the stream with the cows too. My cousins convinced me it was ok as long as we swam upstream from bossy. yea, no cows were ever anywhere else in the stream. haha. Our next door neighbor was a real live pimp with girls coming and going all the time. That was when my dad put the stop to our neighborhood running around. The pimp got sent to prison where he met his dimise(sp). His son ran the same fated path. his daughter sells real estate. Funny the stories my brothers choose to share with me about our younger days. lol

Things sure have changed, but not the way we remember! My grandson was arrested for putting pennies on the local railroad track. Had to write 100 times I will not put pennies or anything else onthe railroad tracks. Also had to pick up trash on the roadside for a week. No police record though, thank God.
