No smoking in California. When I had my deli the health inspector gave me stickers to put on the windows and they said NO SMOKING within 20 feet. Also they are cracking down on the trans fats that are served in food establishments now too. We were in a fast food place the other day and after the price on their menu board they had the calorie count listed. So don't order anything on a croissant *L* TONS of calories in those things.

California was one of the first, if not the first, to ban smoking in restaurants...........yippppppppeeeeeeeee! Can't even stand the smell of smoke on people's clothes who do smoke. Makes me ill.

They have even banned cigarette smoking on certain beaches due to the damage the butts have on the environment. People would just flick their cigarette butts in the sand, now cities are banning their use on the beaches.

It hasn't been allowed in Ohio for several years now. I used to barely be able to be in a restaurant before! It is so wonderful NOT to have smoking allowed in restaurants!

    What about where you live?
Smoking is not allowed anywhere except for the outdoors in California. It was passed a few years ago and it is wonderful.

In Indianapolis, smoking is allowed only in bars and casinos. Total smoking ban has been defeated in our state legislature. Don't know what will make them see the reality of the deadly effects of smoking.

Texas is working on banning smoking in all of the state. I suffer from COPD and cannot tolerate even a whiff of smoke. There are only 2 restaurants in my town that allow smoking, and they do not get our business.
