Smoking is Banned from ALL indoor public places here in town.
No Restaurants, no theaters, no book stores, no cafes, no retail shops, no car dealerships, no public schools

Pretty much says it all here in California. I'm happy with the ban. Two years ago we were at a restaurant in another state. They asked us "smoking or no-smoking". I was shocked because I hadn't heard that asked in years. Apparently there was an "invisible wall" between tables that was going to keep the smoke away.

It depends on what city in Texas, it's not completely banned.

Reminds me of the quote "Having a smoking area in a restaurant makes as much sense as having a peeing area in a swimming pool."

The more you think about it, the grosser it gets!

banned in Illinois for just 2 or 3 years. The ban includes all public places, including bars.
