No. California has banned all smoking in all buildings except private residences or places that are only a bar. It has had no economic impact, but a wonderful impact on the quality of the air in all public places.

I smoked until 10 years ago, and stopped when the Lord told me to. I won't explain that....it's between me and Him!! :-)

No smoking in any public buildings at all. No malls or bars or government buildings. The only indoor place that smoking is still allowed is in your own home. Love it, love it, love it.

there are some bars around here that still allow smoking. I think it has something to with the size of the bar and if food is served, I THINK!!

I'm in Ohio too, but a few years ago when I was somewhere else we went into a restaurant and the hostess asked 'smoking or no smoking' and I realized it was the first time in years I had to answer that question. I like the no smoking in public places. When restaurants had the 2 sections smoke always would drift to my table.

We do still have smoking in some restaurants here in Virginia. Virginia was built on tobacco money so it's probably going to be the last state to ban smoking in all public places. It's the old Southern way with the new Southern way replacing one thing at a time. I quit smoking when they started banning it it some restaurants a few years back. Glad I did !!!

There are a couple of bars here that have smoking, but no children allowed. I am not sure what the laws are because they do serve food in at least one that I know of.

No Restaurants, no theaters, no book stores, no cafes, no retail shops, no car dealerships, no public schools (though I see school teachers sneak their cigarettes at the corner playgrounds) no bars and grills, no indoor concerts, ......

The State allows it but the City just banned it. Kentucky is another big tobacco state!
