We were party to all that mess as well, Twinkie! I moved to SC from MT to get away from all of this!!!! And we lost power as well, although to give the utility it's due, they had me back on in 2 1/2 hours. However, I am having gas logs put in in a week or so...I can't tolerate this! The "no light thing", yes. The no heat thing...NO! Ever since I had chemo, I am extremely cold intolerant so I think it will be worth it to have the logs. Good luck to the rest of the East as you battle this baby!

It's amazing that something so beautiful can be so problematic for sooooooooooo many people!!!!!!
Right now, I have about 4 ft. of snow in my backyard so compared to that you have a "dusting".........but of course, I don't live in Alabama, I live in Northern Ontario in Canada, so it's to be expected.........Alabama, not so much !!!
Fortunately, yours will be gone soon, ours not so much.................maybe by April or so.

I am sorry, but we have seen far too much of this stuff this winter and I have been feeling like I am incarcerated for some crime I had nothing to do with...all from this less than "beautiful" white ground cover. I am totally OVER it.

We still had some on the ground today. It lasted a lot longer than I had thought it would. Thanks for all the comments. We know it is not much snow compared to many of you but like one QB member said, it is a lot for Alabama.
