It did snow here last night. Just enough to cover the ground, but it melted off the sidewalk and street right away. If it has to snow this was as close to perfect as it could be. No snow or ice on the streets and I didn't have to shovel, but it looked pretty.

We have had snow this weekend and it is currently 13 degrees and the weather service felt the need to share that it actually feels like 4 degrees. What is that about?
Oh, and on a bit of funny note, there is a golf course right next to one of our very busiest streets. Their sprinkler system went off automatically, and then one of the sprinkler heads promptly froze and broke, so the water was shooting off onto the street until it froze into an arc. We are now sponsoring a new sport- ice skating in an SUV. Not sure what cash prizes the car insurance companies will be giving out :) :) :) :)

lol, that would be funny... I mean for us.
We have not had snow yet, but it has gone down below freezing overnight a few times. Two years ago, we got SO much snow that there was nowhere left to put it once it was removed from the streets. I'm not even kidding, we have HUGE snow dumping sites and pits that are as far as the eye can see and they were full. We're not allowed to dump the extra snow in the lakes and rivers anymore because we use salt on the roads, not sand. There was one place by the highway that had a mountain of snow still there in JULY, in 30 degree (celcius) weather. I'm not even joking!

I know I'm late in seeing this, but when I saw snow in the title, I had to peek to see if it was someone from my home area. I've had all kinds of pics of snow in the last week from friends and family. I live in South Texas now, but I'm from Bend. I miss the snow a lot, but even I do not relish snow this early in the year.
