snow

We have been so spoiled this fall. Our temps have been 10-20° above "average" all October and November. We had our first snow yesterday, only about an inch. I am sitting looking out at more soft fluffy stuff driftng down. So pretty!!! I guess winter finally found us. ;)
This would be a perfect "stay home and quilt all day" kind of day, unfortunately I have to go out this afternoon. I am getting a shot of cortizone in both hips today. Hopefully this will give me a few more months before I have to start seriously considering hip replacements. I am a little apprehensive about these shots...I have had cortizone shots before, always a simple in-office thing. Today is a little more involved. They are sending me to radiology as they have to be able to "see" where they are putting the needle. So...wish me luck!! :?

Good luck with that cortizone shot, Pzazz.
We had some flurries for about an hour yesterday--big fluffy flakes but nothing accumulated on the ground. With the arrival of colder weather, I'm ready to get some snow to cross-country ski on.

Happy Birthday!!! :D :D :D
Sorry to hear you have to have shots today!!! Maybe it is a good thing that you are going into the radiologist...I would rather them get it the first time correctly!!! I had them in my shoulder last winter, and would not want them hit/missing if they could help it
I hope the snow holds off until you get back home!!!

Looks like I am going to have to reschedule. :( The roads are bad enough that they are closing schools. I called a friend in the city where I was to have this done.....she says the roads even in town are treacherous. Methinks not a good plan to chance it. :(

Happy Birthday. Hope the shots go well. I had to do that for my shoulder. It wasn't fun. Dr had to get it into the joint and kept digging until he got there. Hope they work and you can delay the surgery. Cortisone does not have enough effect on me.

Sorry to hear about your hip pain. I know what that's like. I have had both hips replaced, one about 7 years ago the other 5 years ago and I have been pain free ever since. It was the best thing I have ever done, but not something I would wish to do again in a hurry. I would love to see some snow at the moment, we have just had our hottest November on record and it's not really even summer yet. How hot is it going to get I wonder?

Thank you for all the birthday wishes, and concerns about my hips. As it turned out, I couldn't get the shots today due to bad road conditions. (Snow :() Rescheduled for the 16th. Since I had the day off work, I had a wonderful "me" day. Just did fun stuff, then met DH and friends for a drink and dinner out. (Mine was free!!! Gotta like that.)
