but it has been too hot and humid. Only a couple of parts of the house have A/C, and the dining room is not one of them. Top it off, my Dad doesn't believe in air conditioning (very agravating because he as a heart condition, but you can't tell him that he needs A/C. He "doesn't want to get used to it" Honestly, it's like talking to a child sometimes.) Anyway...the A/C downstairs was not on at all yesterday....hot and steamy. My a/c upstairs was on so I stayed there and did some reading. Have no room for a cutting table or ironing board. I do have a desk I might be able to put my sewing machine on, but the desk might be a little too high. I guess I really need to get a hand project going. Sorry for the rant, it's just I was so looking forward to sewing. I did pick up some vintage blocks yesterday at a consignment store! Woo Hoo! I hope this hot weather breaks soon, but it looks like it's going to be in the 90's tomorrow.

Thanks, Amma, I didn't think of the pillow. I knew I would get some good ideas here!

Make a little space for your ironing board and put your sewing machine on that, then you have everything you need in one spot, except the cutting table.

We finally got rid of the heat and humidity  Try a smaller project that doesn't need as much room for cutting . Also what about English Paper piecing , that is small and portable

This weather has been horrible. I sleep in an upstairs bed room with no vent. It's been really hot sleeping.
