I keep my work out equipment in the closet....my tenis shoes...I do "walking" with my dogs. They like it and it is cheap plus this gets me out of the house.

I realized I am not motivated alone at home so all "my" equipment is at the gym. And I am very faithful about going because no matter how I feel when I get there I always feel better when I leave. I do walk in nice weather but it isn't enough.

We keep our eliptical & weight machine in an extra bedroom. The room doubles as an office. We've used it faithfully 35 mins 4 to 5 times a week for several years. Don't really like it but it sure beats a heartattack or stroke. My husband has also been able to keep his back troubles at bay with the strength training so it is worth the space and trouble. I've been told that the actual walking outside is better for us but when it is icy or 100 degrees it is a great alternative.

Well.... I keep my work out equipment in the pantry in the mop bucket with the broom right next to it. The rest is stored where handy under the kitchen sink or bathroom cabinet.

OK. So now I feel a bit more 'normal'. ha ha. I walk my 'crazy dog', but more and more rumors are flying around about mountain lions & bears in our area so it kinda puts me on edge. I just know I will never use my elliptical in the 'block room', and wasn't sure how unsightly it would be in the bedroom (the thing's so darn big). But, hum... as someone else pointed out, it beats a heart attack! My retired neighbor/quilting friend made me feel bad when we were shop hopping last week when she told me she gets on hers for about an hour a day. Wow. Now THAT'S dedication! I could really eat what I'd want to if I did that! Yeah, kinda defeats the purpose... hope you all had a great Thanksgiving & ate too much like me.

My exercise bike and the son's Bowflex are in the basement in my soap curing/storage room. I use the bike 5-6 days a week and the Bowflex at least every other day. I also do the livestock chores twice a day.
