    Helene,
I am sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with RSD/CRPS, I have been since 2002 and I am dealing with it every day in different ways. Have you been to the www.rsd.org website they have a lot of information that would be helpful and Jim is a great resource. I am trying to learn to quilt and machine embroidery but many days I too just sit and look at my sewing room. I have a great husband who has bought me two machines and is very supportive and that is the reason I dislike this more, I know it affects him too. I have it on all my limbs and I have had great luck with the nerve blocks. And I know what you mean about being dependant on pain meds but I am seeing a therapist who made me realize if it helps me with my quality of life then who cares what others say. I am working on that it makes me feel bad. Well I hope I have helped some and I hope you can email me if you want a friend that truly understands your pain.
    Susana
