Sorry I won't kick, scoll or yell at you, because I am in the same boat. However I filed an extension, because I know it will cost me & I don't have it to pay. So I will pray real hard...... lol

Oh my, I feel your pain since I was in the same predicament 2 wks. ago. So I decided to get busy & get tax papers done, unpaid bills paid, laundry caught up, ironing done, & the dog bathed.

Then I hit my little quilt shop & have a new quilt top made, a tulip wallhanging in the works, & have finished sewing the back of bindings on 2 projects.
I can't imagine how much work I'd get done if I hadn't found this site. LOL.

I feel such freedom to play now.

I didn't allow myself to sew yesterday until I'd gotten the bills paid and no looking at the board today until I got the tax return done. On the plus side the amount due was way less than I'd feared! Leaves more in savings to spend on fabric!!

Even if you file for an extension, don't you have to pay the estimated amount you think is going to be required? Maybe it's changed now, but you use to have to pay anyway, an extension gives you more time to get your paper work together.

dh is an engineer with an organized soul...

we have an appt with the accountant EVERY YEAR for the first friday in february...

dh has everything ready... the only thing i do is lay necessary receipts on his desk... ie pd excise tax for my car, donations to goodwill & the the battered women's shelter...

he files them & has it all ready to go... the accountant says we are his favorites every year..

and yes, i know how lucky i am...

I also have been procrastination, but our accountant is filing an extension so we have more time to get our tax bill down from $8,000.( heart attack). so I am digging for more deductions and expenses for DH's business. Thank God He isn't in that business anymore and will actually have taxes taken out of a paycheck. There are some advantages of being in business for yourself and some big disadvantages.
