Yes, you rescued him! We too have spent money (always scarce) on strays. It's hard, but so worth it. My daughter cried over the death of a stray that we had adopted from a local animal shelter. DD was nine then. The shelter refunded the adoption fee, but obviously we really wanted the puppy. The dog was sick when we got it. We tried to comfort DD by telling her that the puppy was loved and cared for in her final days.

The puppy in your pictures is so cute. Looks like a stray we had years ago! I hope you can find a permanent home for him. Will pray about that!

I have two Lapshas we got from a rescue organization. We had had a Lapsha that we loved and cared for for years he got kidney problems and had to be put down It broke both our hearts so we were not going to get another dog(NOT!)
We went to the rescue place to get one we saw they had on the internet and came back with 2. They are our boys and we love them just like they were our children. My husband always calls them his boys and he is so attached to them I hate to think of anything happening to them. Your kindness
will be rewared you did a wonderful thing for this puppy.

I firmly believe your kindness will be rewarded. This post just melts my heart and makes me love all of your great people more. Animals are such special gifts in our lives, even if we don't get to keep them. You did a WONDERFUL thing and your daughter will always remember how Mom opened her heart. (Bet she'll be the same way)
Extra hugs for you and hope that cutie pie gets a good home.
What a face!! Wish I lived closer too.

Well we have officially decided to start looking for a permanent home for him. No one has claimed him and I have put posting at all of the counties vets and shelters. And even out of our county so..... if anyone knows anyone who might be interested please let me know. Thanks to all of you for helping me feel better.

What a sweet face! That look is one that our dog Babe used to give us. So intelligent and bright! Good thing I am not closer to you or I would have a hard time not taking him. As it is we have one very spoiled shelter dog (my avatar) and will be fostering our daughters dog (also a rescue) because she has to move and can't take the dog. They are hoping to buy their own place next summer, but until then, we are foster parents. ;-)

God Bless your loving heart for helping this sweet guy.
