We have a 12 yr old (5lb) retired champion pekinese. This morning I put his food on (a plate) on the floor for him. He just looked at me, almost saying "Are you kidding me? I didn't hear the microwave warming it up for me!" He wouldn't even take one step closer to his feeding area until after I warmed it up. He's just a smidge spoiled.

I have two Maine Coons, Phoebe and Ophelia, who prefer 'fresh' water straight out of the faucet. The problem was, they are big and the faucets were short and small. They had to practically turn their heads upside down to get the little stream of water out the faucet. So I put in new faucets - the kind that come up and over in an arch. Now they can get their fresh water right out of the sink with having to be contortionists. (They each have their own designated sink in the bathroom - they graciously allow me to brush my teeth using one of the sinks when they are done.) Are they worth it? You betcha!

my galfriend even cooks her dog's food from scratch and sits and talks with her while she's eating.

Yes, we tend to spoil our fur babies!

I have three cats and I feed them in the morning, after dinner, and then a treat.

If I forget one, they will let me know. I cannot do anything without them attacking my feet or meowing constantly. Once I feed them or get their treat, they go about their merry way.

Our little dog Chip.won;t eat unless you are in the room with him.So guess who sits there and waits for him to eat, before doing anything else.

I don't have to be in the room with my little hunk of fur. But I have to be home. Even if I'm gone all day he won't even eat his treat till I get home
