Good Night--time for me to go to bed.
I know I haven't comment much but have enjoyed the Mare Stare banter back and forth.
Let's hope Star gets in the mood SOON.
I feel sorry for Kay.
We have wild blackberries here in August. I have to be quick, though, and get them before the deer do. They have quite a sweet tooth. (actually they eat everything growing in sight!)

Ok, I have 2 rows sewn. Hot in that room. Would LOVE to open the windows but the rain keeps coming.
Not turning the a/c on either....don't want another $700 bill this month.
So, I will sew, then take a break every few rows.

Definitely take a break every couple of rows Terri - nobody needs that kind of stress.

That's what I am doing, sewing a few, cutting a few, taking a break in between. But I have the ac on. I can't stand it!!!

This it the bill from last month.
See? It's not really that bad if you deduct the highlited area.
That recovery charge is for....um...have no clue and NO ONE at the power company can tell me either.
6/1/2009 - 6/29/2009 MONTHLY CUSTOMER CHARGE $5.53
EMERGENCY WATER WELL/WASTE CHG (Over 500 KWH) $6.92
FUEL RECOVERY CHARGE $435.68
INSURANCE CHARGE $9.26
NON-FUEL ENERGY CHARGE (First 500 KWH) $16.77
NON-FUEL ENERGY CHARGE (Over 500 KWH) $227.26
Total $701.42
Total Current Charges: $701.42
I do keep a $200 credit going, so it's really not that bad.
I can't understand HOW some can pay their bills with the way it is here trying to find work. What helps us is...we get a $715/month stipend to help defray the utility costs

I just realized I have been watching this mare off and on for most of the day and I have not seen her lie down even once. Does she ever lie down? Can she?

Yes, she does lay down, but you know....I haven't seen her lay down either! Her feet have GOT to hurt!

Usually, our utility allowance is enough to pay the electric and gardener. I don't worry about our water bill...that's usually $20/month. We do have a gas stove, but I bought a 100 gal tank, so that will last us until we move out
