Default Strange stuff along the side of the road...

    ... beach balls!

Saw one rolling downhill on the shoulder, as we were driving to church.

Then, saw one while driving a different route home from church.

Not the same ball, not even in the same town.

    ??

And both were miles from any beach.

Windy day? Actually they probably got lose from a high school graduation. The kids like to sneak them in and throw them around during the ceremony.

You think that's strange?!? I was doing an internship (I went back to college several years ago) with some high school kids. We were cleaning up the trash alongside a highway here in town. One of them came up to me, held up something & said "What is this"? It was a vibrator! Yes, that kind of vibrator! Boy oh boy... I wonder what the backstory to that was?!

Once my DH and I were trveling along a rather boring highway when we saw a roll of duct tape rolling down the road toward us. Got our attention, and we had something to talk about for a few minutes.

I have also wondered about all the times I have seen just a single shoe (or sneaker) on the side of the road.

How do you lose just ONE?

I always suspect a bored toddler in the backseat with a window cracked open for air........
