I have some on order and am going to try it on the ant problem that I have in my driveway. I am also going to give it to my dogs so that when they stick their heads down the prairie dog holes this summer, they won't end up coated with fleas. I hope this works!!
You are eating this stuff? Not really a good idea since diatomaceous earth kill things because of its microscopic knife edges. It causes the fluids to leak out of the bugs. You DO NOT want to breathe it or let your pets breathe it either. It will damage your lungs. I have never heard of it being food grade and can't imagine how they could make it happen.
