That is what I have done for years. The sheepskin cover still binds and the little black clip comes apart alot of times. The twist of the seat belt works the best for me. You don't have to find your clip or pad, You can be comfortable in any car.

You need something that makes the shoulder strap come across your shoulder instead of your neck. I made a triangle that folded into a V-shape and velcroed together on the back. I put this on the belt near the clip you insert into the buckle. It worked for me, but my dear husband couldn't figure out how to get the seat belt on, so I took it off! PM me and I'll try to find it if you don't get a better idea. I hate the seat-belt-choke-hold, too!

I have the same problem. This works for me. The gadget changes the position of the shoulder strap.

I'm so glad I opened this thread, I have a terrible time with this! My skin is uber-sensitive so all the time I have a giant red blotch on my neck - SEXY. Sitting on a pillow only means I can't reach the pedals anymore.

    Great info everyone, thank you!

I read that the seat belt will not protect you if you only wear the lap belt. Please stay safe!!!

Go to your dealer and get a seat belt extender. They should be free, or under $10. Call first. They make the seat belt ride off your neck and onto your shoulder where it should be. I hate riding in other people's car since I have the extenders in all of our vehicles.

I just put the shoulder belt behind my left shoulder and that seems to work for me.

Thanks, I will try to make two. If it doesn't work, then at least my DGD will have one. It bothers her too :( Then if that doesn't work, I'll go buy one.

So many thanks to all of you!! :)
