I just want to sit in the hammock chair more often!

(Setting what I hope is a truly achievable goal...)

Last year it was wet and cold most of the summer so I did lots of quilting. I hope this is a better year but hasn't started out much better. If/when it quits raining we might get some sunshine and heat. I want to be outside every waking minute this year and to #&!! with housework. BBQ, Hot Dogs & Burgers on my menu!

June 21st came and went for us. My husband had a carcinoma taken off the back of his hand; we cooked shish-ka-bobs, and in between it really stormed.

Next week we are off to Cumberland Falls State Park, Kentucky for a few days. We get a cottage and take our youngest daughter and one grandchild(not hers) each year. It's a great way to spend quality time with each of them. I don't mind the simple cooking and it is a lot cheaper than the lodge accommodations.

When we get back, it will be time to move our middle daughter into her 'new' home. Right now she is staying with us as she sold her other home.

Will be ready for some real 'me' by then which happens at the end of the month. Looking forward to the Kokomo,In meet and greet, not to mention all that shopping. :):)

Dewie45 - that is where my husband and I spent our honeymoon 56 years ago. We went up there to visit 3 years ago and took some friends, who were very impressed with the place.

Try to stay cool, we have had 100 degrees day almost every day, it is hotter than usual, did get some rain yesterday and today, hooray. It does not stop me from quilting, though, thanks for AC and fan.

To leave home[:)] --I begin soon on an extended "sibling-care" sojourn. However, they are fun times for me as well. We travel together, do lots of visiting, I always have sewing projects and some good books. I live in Kansas, they live in Indiana and KY, so I get to visit with all my side of the family during my extended time away from home. My brother and I go to N.Mex to visit his sons and do lots of back road sightseeing. I drive and he navigates!
