My husband had hip replacement surgery done Dec.21,2010..
he was released from hospital on Dec.24.In 3 weeks he was walking 4 blocks up the street and 4 blocks back to home with just a cane. When the blizzard hit in Feb.he was driving the snow plow for the city 12 hours a day.His advice to anyone having this surgery is to walk as much as possible as soon as possible.
Praying your surgery and recovery goes as well as his did!

Prayers from Maine from a fellow hip-replacement quilter. You'll do just fine and be amazed at the lack of pain after the operation. Just do your exercises when you're released. I had mine done in Feb. and I'm doing great and know you will as well.
