T minus 7 days for Harry! Who's going

You know it! I grew up with Harry - he was eleven when I was eleven. ;)
Friends and I are actually going to a local small bookstore tonight for a "Harry Potter night" where dress-ups are encouraged. We'll be sorted, attend "classes", and drink butterbeer. Looking forward to nerding out for the night!

I love Harry. My son(21) and daughter(14)also. Best series of books I have ever read. I have my own set and the kids are not allowed to borrow. I have read them multiple times and enjoy them every time. Love the audio books also. Own all the movies. Awaiting the "Last Installment". Yeah,I guess you could say I'm a fan. lol

My family is counting the days. But we probably won't go on the release date. My son's friend is coming in on the 17th so we will wait to see it with her. Another son and his girlfriend plan to see it on the 15th. We are so excited, but a little sad to see it end. My kids have grown up with HP.

I love, love, love the series. I've read the books at least 8 times, and I can't tell you how many times I've seen the movies (they're in my arsenal of best-beloved movies I turn on for background noise while I'm cleaning or sewing). I was a bit of a latecomer to the game--the first contact I had with it was allowing a friend to drag me to see Prisoner of Azkaban. But I didn't really jump on board until I started reading the books a few months before Order of the Phoenix was released. By the time tthe final book came out, I was one of those who stayed up all night reading it. ;)
I've been awaiting this movie for years now, but I'm kind of heartbroken that it's finally almost over! It's almost like the end of a relationship--we've got the beautiful memories, but no new memories will be made now.

The Wheel of Time Series written by James Oliver Rigney, Jr., under the pen name Robert Jordan. This story is a bit more adult but a great fantasy (15 books!)
