[quote=dreamer2009]Mine has to be buried :(
looking on ebay for new one...
if this is the going rate...
guess I'll have to quit drinking coffee.

DH is a coffee nut to the extent that he grinds the beans for each cup right before he shoots it thru the expresso maker. you might try his fav site
    http://www.wholelattelove.com/

or if a Tuesday Morning store is close by they usually have coffee makers in stock. at a bit less then the ebay one..... ;-)

Bought my vintage percolator for $3.99. It takes a few extra minutes to do it the old fashioned way, but it is the best coffee ever!

I guess that they think people are nuts to buy stuff off EBAY. My daughter bought me a Kuerig and I like it, but I would never have purchased it for myself. too spendy. anywhere from $99 to $145. then the boxes of coffees and teas, 8.99 and up depending on size of box. i use my coffee and tea ones for more than one cup.

Please tell me thats a typo. I have become a bit of coffee snob since my hub of 6 years showed me the light. When I met him I was drinking coffee that was made with 2 scoops to the pot. Just like my mom & dad drank it and the way I had done so for 25 years. Now we drink it 2 scoops to the cup and I can't handle the weak stuff. =) I like it hot strong & rich tasting. Anything else is flavored water.
