    Update on hubby.

On Tuesday, July 6th called the Dr. that ER referred us to, went to his office and he doesn't have a torn bicep muscle (ER was wrong).

Dr. Jackson said (fever 101.7) he has a bad infection in his right shoulder so he drained it in his office, got lots out, he called his Transplant Dr. (as my hubby had a kidney and pancreas transplant 9/18/90) and now his body is full of infection. So on Tuesday from Dr. office drove him to directly to hosptial in Indianapolis, Indiana about 1 1/2 hours away. I got home last night at midnight. I had to stay home today to take care of some business.

    Wednesday

Later I talked to hubby today and he was going to have surgery in the afternoon. The surgeon called me at 4:30 pm. and he got thru surgery okay, had to go in to his right shoulder and clear the infection out. He is still in hospital and will be in for a few more days or so.

I am planning on going Thursday to be with him.

I will keep you all posted. Thanks again for all of your thoughts and prayers.

Glad to hear things are being taken care of properly! Surgery is never fun but getting all that nasty infection out will speed healing immensely. Praying for a speedy recovery!

Gee whiz! Keep a good eye on him. My DH has been in ICU three times because of infections caught in the hospital after minor procedures. I'll be danged if I can remember the correct name for this. Oh, well.

Make sure you get plenty of rest so you can care for him. Hope your Dr. lets ER know they were wrong.

Don't forget to take care of yourself while you nurse your DH back to health. My DH had rotator cuff surgery last Oct. I had lots of help, but it was still exhausting! Take the help when ever you can, even if it's only long enough to take a nap!! Prayers for you both.

I am in awful pain in my left shoulder, went to urgent care 2 days ago, said it was a soft tissue injury, gave me naproxen that messed me up good, went to e r last night, did xrays and ekg, nothing found, wanted to check for blood clots and do cat scan..I said no...gave me vicodin after offering me a morphine shot...the vicodin takes the edge off but thats about it. Hope this heals soon as I cant do anything right now.
Is there an epidemic of hurt soulders going around? lol
