    Almost in the 60's here Wa and Fl is freezing.... keep warm and we hope you all get warmer weather soon, we need the fruit and OJ/ LOL

    It is 4:40 a.m. here in Florida....the temp is showing approx. 33 degrees F....but keep in mind the majority of homes are not insulated to the regulations of the Northern states.
    Even though we have heaters it is almost futile to crank them up much just enough so water pipes do not freeze. I do not know what insulation rating the public buildings have to follow. Hopefully, these temps. will not be a regular event here.
    All those extra quilts & layers of clothing are handy. Stay warm & safe.

    *snork* yesterday was -14 on the thermometer. that was not counting the wind chill. this a.m. was a relative heat wave--it was +3!!! guess that means the dandelions will be coming out, soon.

    our reward for above zero temps is that the snow starts again, this afternoon. we have two feet in the back yard from the last storm. *sigh* i try to remember that we live here for two reasons: it keeps the riff-raff out! and because we are too lazy to move...

    Here in central Scotland we have to go to -14 tomorrow and Friday with the snow coming back at the weekend. Oh well I guess we are gaurenteed a white christmas. I will be glad when the christmas holidays come so that we can stay inside and not have to go to work.
