I love his books - one of my sons introduced me to the books written by Terry Pratchett

His books are set in a "fantasy" land - but he sure has people, government, the military, and religion nailed.

They are written as a series, but one can pick any one of them up and it will make sense. I found them entertaining, insightful, and they made me "look around" and think.

The three ones I read most recently were: Monstrous Regiment, Going Postal, and Making Money
