I never wear shoes in the house, and I never in the sewing room as I can't operate the foot pedal with shoes (or slippers). For *some* reason though I still had my heavy leather shoes on when I went in the sewing room yesterday. Moved a piece of fabric and out from underneath slid my heavy sewing scissors point down on my toes! Hurt like the dickens and I have a bruise but that's all.

An hour or so later and still wearing shoes (fate?) I was in the kitchen and the chefs knife came down in the same place on the opposite foot. Again, saved by the shoe.

So here I sit today at the PC in bare feet afraid to enter either of those chambers of horrors !!

My you are so lucky...that knife or scissors would have gone right through your foot..you better sleep with shoes on for a while...

Whoa! I'm glad you were wearing shoes. I don't like shoes and usually go barefoot, even in the sewing room.

Be sure to keep your feet out of reach of the "stoneware" that stuff can leave a bruise!
