Thanks for all the info on mailing envelopes

Slide the material between paper, put into plastic and into brown envelope and ship "Book Rate:. It is the lowest rate possible. I have been shipping quilting books and they are heavy and run about 2.20 to 2.70 to ship.

Don't get caught using media mail or library mail rates to ship anything but that which is allowed. The fines are huge!
Also, poly mailers are stronger, more waterproof, and cheaper than tyvek envelopes, but if you want stuff to be truly waterproof, a sealed inner bag is necessary. Ziplocs are a cheap alternative if you're not shipping a lot.
A good place to get shipping supplies is www.uline.com.

Any office supply store will have a variety of envelopes for you to choose from.
I only use the bubble ones if I have something likely to break. Otherwise I just use the ziploc bag inside a regular Kraft envelope and use plenty of packing tape to be sure it seals well and the address is protected.
Mostly I try to reuse ones I've received in the mail.
