My DH retired the first of this year, & I have slowed down. I still buy, but not huge amounts, & as far as fabric goes, mainly to go with what I already have in my stash, for a project. I have also slowed down buying books & trying to enjoy, & use, the ones I have already purchased & not played with yet. He is now working again, sort of, so it's okay, but you know, how much can you use, & store, & for how long? I want to enjoy some of the stash I already have & not just keep buying more. I go to quilt club once a month at the LQS & try to mainly spend, a little, there. That seems to help. But I have bought a whole lot less in this past year....

YUP perfect answer. I try to curb my habits on occasion but I am blessed in that I have a good job, no debt and can afford to buy whenever I want. So I treat myself every 6 to 8 weeks or so. I don't have a very big stash at all so I consider it a retirement investment.

My name is...and I freely admit that I am a fabric junkie.

There, I've said it and I'm glad. I will never, ever buy another piece of fabric till I have sewed up every scrap that I have in this room, and the middle bedroom, and under the master bed, and in the closet in this room, and

Wait, the mailman just pushed a flyer from Joann's in the door and it has a 50 percent off coupon in it and where's my car keys and
