When that happens I think about poetry and how similiar it is to quilting and then I get an idea and just do it.

When my children were small, we would go through their toys and "thin out" before Christmas. I was a firm believer that too many toys just confused the children...couldn't decide what to play with so in the end..didn't play with anything. Sometimes they were happier with a box from a refrigerator delievery to play with. I am beginning to think the same applies to me with all my "stash". I look at it and can't make decisions on what to use. In the end, don't do anything. Pathetic?? DEFINITELY!! All the money I have spent on fabric and it just sits there waiting for me to make a decision. Sad, Sad, Sad!!!

I think I have the same problem, especially now that I have a painful shoulder. Having arthroscopic surgery tomorrow so maybe that will help.

LOL when I get in this "Mood" I start writing things down and in detail that gets me going .. Sometimes I will just take a weekend off and do something else other than quilting, sewing or crafting !

I'm with you all!!! I have the stash & the patterns but just don't know what I want to do first. I pick a pattern I want to make & can't decide on the fabric or don't have quite enough! Or, I decide on the fabric & can't decide which pattern to make with it!! Now that I have just added the 20 yds I am worse.
help us all. Sometime something will hit me right in the face & I will know what I want to do! I hope!

Well, I feel like this sailor with my quilting. I have so many projects I want to make, so many patterns I have saved, so much fabric in my stash, that I can't decide which to do first, so in the end I do nothing and spend all my time on this board. How pathetic is that ?
this is my life every day of the year!
