Absolutely TERRIFIED of cockroaches...Grew up with the darn things in FL and LA, then learned they could fly, and that's all she wrote. One of the few things I like about living in MN now is there aren't ANY cockroaches...

Yup, I agree. When I think someone is the lowest of the low I call them fleas and ticks. The only purpose they serve is to spread disease and cause misery.

Cockroaches are high on my list. Anyone who has lived in FL, TX and some other southern climes has them. They are impossible to keep out of the house without spraying with bio hazardous stuff. They are about an inch long and repulsive. No respectable dog will touch them. Cats will sometimes bat them around until they are dead. Anyone who steps on one finds out why the dog won't touch it. Their guts stink to high heaven. Up north the German roaches are much smaller but they will come out of your plumbing into your kitchen on the 20th floor! They get into your food. The big American roaches mentioned above just defacate on your dishes so you have to wash them before you set the table, eat the glue off evelopes, chew on your kid's wax that she uses to cover the wires on her orthadontia and many other delights. YUCK.

Don't worry, I'll have a close and personal relationship with a few rats for you. ;) Not the wild ones, mind! Just my fat, fuzzy, domesticated horde.
