You'd be amazed how lightweight the basket is! I do chuckle at the size of it though...it's just big enough for the doll...but since the doll is 14 inches in length it looks really large...especially compared to DGD! I'm sure though that won't hinder her from enjoying it...and she'll have plenty of years to grow into it! ;-)

Oh, I'm glad you're enjoying my creative adventures! While raising 3 sons and working I didn't have much time for "extra" stuff...and sewing was certainly NOT something I enjoyed. But along came my granddaughter and it's like she turned on this switch...and lo and behold...I learned how to sew and make "stuff" like quilts and dolls...and now baskets! I'm having a lot of fun as you can see! :-)

Oh, I love that!! The colors are so pretty. What a lucky girl to have you for her Grandma.

It does look like a baby Moses, but it is adorable! I may have to try my hand at basket making someday! Great job.

The whole thing is just wonderful. She's gonna love it. Take lots of pictures of her with it. Two year olds put a lot of wear and tear on favorite toys and it won't look that perfect for long. My daughter carried her fave by the arm and I kept having to repair it but it couldn't have been more loved.

Yes, kind of like the Velveteen Rabbit...you want their toys to be loved to pieces...literally! ;-)

Love it !!! Wish I had a grandaughter to make one for, I have two grandsons and for some reason I don't think they would appreciate it.
