    I second your comment on the political phone calls! I will be glad when this election period is over - and all the signs in yards have to be collected!

    We send back the junk mail too, we didn't ask for it. They can have it all back.
    We receive lots of calls from unknown name/number, we let the answering machine pick those up. I figure if its someone
    we want to talk to, they'll leave a message.
    The computer generated phone calls are just plain irritating.

    Pesty phone calls - I press all the numbers, maybe play tune if I could sing. That seems to confuse their computers.

    There is a site you can go to that will stop your junk mail and the credit card offers. The only credit card offers that aren't stopped are the ones you already have. I have forgotten the web site but I am sure it was a gov web site. It's like signing up for the no call list.

    I send all the papers back to the companies let them pay I write garbage or trash over them and rip in half. too I love sending them back knowing they have to pay the postage.

    My grandma was so tired of receiving the mail that asks for money for the starving kids in third world countries. One time she received one that had a comb in it. It stated that this child was so poor he didn't even have a comb for his hair. My grandma sent the comb back to them and said "here...give him this one"!

    That doesnt stop them from sending more!! I havent used my fireplace for ages.
