I have been saving these containers to share with some friends who use them from anything from nails and screws holders, put coffee in from a larger can, hold quilting tall items (that's m e) etc.

Do you have a practical way to re-use these great containers - with lids even?

I put my quilting notions in them before putting them in a sewing case. i.e. needles, marking pencils, etc...

i save containers like that for mixing dyes...always in need of more containers when dyeing fabrics. :)
instead of spending any money- i (try) to use all recycled items for my dyeing and any other crafty project i'm working on

I save mine also. I use them for all sorts of things. From sewing supplies to screws.

Stuff and cover the cap and make a pin cushion out of it. Glue a magnet on the bottom of it to pick up pins. Store spools of thread in cans with small string out so you don't have to open the lid to see the color.

I've seen large styrofoam balls covered in them with a miniature light poked through the bottom of each cup to use as a Christmas hanging lantern.
