A very happy anniversary to you both and happy birthday to your mother. Sorry to hear about all you have both gone thru. Not to many would do that today.

Thank you everyone! We have had our trials some our own bad decisions and some things we couldn't control but the Lord has blessed us with a wonderful family and yes I know the things we go through make us better people. I believe the Lord allows us to go through certain situations to learn things we need to learn. I just wish I had learned alot of those things sooner than later!! LOL Seems like I kept repeating alot of the same mistakes over and over again until I finally got it right!!! LOL

Glen and I both come from a background that believes you get married to stay married. But out of 9 kids in Glen's family 2 have never been married and Glen is the only one to get married and stay married. No exes to deal with no step kids or other difficult situations arising from a broken home. But we do see it in his brother's lives. I do have grandkids that are joined to the family by marriage and love them very much. Just glad we haven't had the trials of a broken marriage. Our trials just took a differant turn than most people's. A head injury affects the rest of your life and we live with it every day.

I have never advised my kids to get married the way we did tho!! We only knew each other 4 mos when we got married.
But it was def the right decision. I love him with all my heart and would go through it all again even if I knew it was coming.

Whatever you have done seems to be working....thru the ups and downs too. Hope you have a very special day, and a nice one for your mom too.

Rhonda, when you really love someone, you just have to put on your big girl panties and do what you have to do. Sounds like you did a great job.
