No fall in east TN or the Smokies. It was 93 yesterday, and so far 90 today. I remember one year in South Texas when it was 95 + until the end of November. I was taking clothes off the line ( it was a long time ago! ) and sweating at 95 degrees. A "Blue Norther" hit and the temp dropped to 65 in 15 minutes.

Here is Central California we are on our 'YOYO' season...98 deg one day, 72 deg the next. Today we are at about 76 deg, but starting an upward climb tomorrow, up to about 98 deg next week....of course....just in time for the County Fair!! BOO!! It's guaranteed...high temps for the fair. Don't know how it figures out how to do that, but almost always. Overall we have had a very mild summer...maybe only about 10-15 days over 100 deg. A few years ago we had 40 days over 100 deg...so you see...this is mild this year.

Around 90 where I live and around 90 where I'm vacationing in Florida...so I'm happy about it!

When I get home in a couple of days, fall can show up!

Yup, expecting 95 again today, and tomorrow. Then perhaps a "cool front" and only mid 80's. Gee whiz, I want some cool (and rain would be nice too)!

Feels like fall here! It cooled off and we had a nice rain and snow in the mountains yesterday. Thank goodness. It is helping put out the horrible fire we have had burning in a town near us. I haven't been able to breathe all week!

Fall makes me sad. Lost my grams on this day 16 years ago :(

the second day of fall and it will be once again in the 90's. It was so humid at 7:30 when I got up you couldn't breath when the door was opened. I wait for the spring and fall with no AC or heat to run up the electric bill this year the AC has been running non stop since May. With fall there is the hope of COLD long winter days. I WANT WINTER SNOW AND ICE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't pay any attention to the weather today. The air is on in the house but I leave it alone--DH thinks that he is the only one that should be allowed to control the temp so I let him. Anyway,,, this afternoon I got busy and made a big pot of chili and baked a batch of cookies because I'm going on retreat tomorrow and wanted there to be some cooked food in the house. Both DH and DD thought I'd lost my mind to be making chili and baking when the temp was 90 out.
