Yes, our leaves are changing rapidly, the Sumac is gorgeous. We have had two days of solid cold rain, (Had to climb the ladder to get the leaves out of the gutter), had rain in the basement. Us Minnesotans say "Thank God, this could have been snow." 1" of rain equals 12" of snow. Our son and daughter had 5" of rain yesterday. We had about three. Think about shoveling that!!!!! But, hey, it's a'comin'!!!!!! We have to mow up the leaves every day now because they are starting to fall - hence Fall, I guess.
But we still have Indian Summer to look forward to. That is when you have everything in the yard battened down, chairs packed away, tables put away, everything is ready for the winter and lo and behold 80*, bright warm sun. It is wonderful. It is generally after a freeze and thee is one last blast and then the hard freeze. Lasts a few days and then we know we have to batten ourselves down. Sometimes we don't get it until November, hunting season. Edie

It's here in NE Washington. We even had to turn on a space heater last night as it did get a wee chilly. Leaves are changing colors, big groups of Canadian geese are busy working out that flight pattern, the giant "V", then they go looking for fields to nibble in. Yep, fall is here.

We went from 90's to 60's so I guess fall is here. cjomomma! I live in Minnesota and I don't want snow yet. It comes in Nov. and doesn't leave until April. I get so sick and tired of my winter coat I could just #@*&%!

Well in southern Minnesota it is cool today in the 50's. But yesterday we had anywhere from 4 to 9 inches of rain in the area. We are having major flooding in towns around the area. Some towns they can't leave or get into unless you are in a boat. Alot of the roads are closed because of water over the roads, part of a old bridge has just broken up so (one of two ways to get into the town). It's really a mess and they are saying we can get more rain tomorrow.
