do you skype with him? I love skype. My DD lives in Madrid and i get to see her and speak with her. She showed me her apartment too! She gets to see her "sister"==our yellow lab, which makes her lots less homesick

This was too funny , especially the son's reply acknowledging the dad's "condition". Sitting here laughing my eye make-up off. Thanks for the laugh and can't wait to share this at work.

Lol. "TMI, Dad". That's hilarious. My grandmother has begun to text and after travelling home from a visit to my parents', sent a text to let them know she was back in her town but was "stopping by the store for a thong (thing) or two." LOL. Love it!

Ditto May in Jersey. I am not into texting either. A couple of years ago when talking to nephew on cell phones, and I ask for his cell number - we were on the way to the hospital for my brother's surgery at the time, and I wanted to call nephew to find out the room number - wee morning hours. He said he would just text me,when I said I didn't text, he said he would show me how when I arrived. I said no I bought my phone to talk on, I could use my computer for typing. I still don't text, but thumbs up for all who do and want to.
Funny story I am sure son and all he told loved your DH text message.

And I particularly HATE seeing people texting and driving. Put down the phone and drive! THe life you save might be MINE.
I don't even TALK on mine while I'm driving, let alone text!!!
OMG, I am not good at multitasking LOLOLOL
But you're right- texting is not a good idea while driving. When we go to my Mom's in NY she'll always remind us that it's against the law there to drive and talk. You can in Ohio but I don't like to unless I pull over
