    I'm not good at texting either. My friends husband went away for the night so I sent her a text saying simply - are you free tonight. Didn't even sign it as she knows my number. What I wasn't aware of was that she and her husband had swapped phones :oops:

    Thank goodness she called in during the afternoon anyway and I asked if she had received my text? which is when I discovered they had swapped phones.

    So many funny stories here this topic you started Susan! Thanks for all the wonderful laughs everyone!

    I have to say that being able to text my loved ones has changed my life for the better, mistakes and all. I can't hear well enough to converse with people on the phone, so texting is truly something I thank God for! It's the ONLY way I can "talk" with my brother who lives in Alaska. Emailing and letter writing does not have that type of conversation aspect to it.
    A lot of us are text challenged... my daughter sometimes texts me back with "Drinking and texting again Mum?"
