My DH is just getting over what we thought was the flu but ended up to be a blocked intestine, he was so sick ended up in ER and surgery the next day, he is so weak after not being able to eat for a week plus was dehydrated big time. They say this is rare and if he gets it again he will have the same symptoms so we will get into the doctor quick, so no quilting the last couple of weeks but thats ok I just want him well.

I was sick with the same thing this week. Couldn't lay down in the bed because of the headache. The dog was so bummed the couch is his spot. Hope you are better soon, took me three to feel human again, and give the dog back his spot.

Geez, sounds like a lot of you are in the same boat as me, and many much worse!! Thankfully, now on day #3 I am feeling a lot more 'normal'. Actually sat up on the couch last night and hand quilted a bit. Still feeling a bit weak, but I'm thinking the sunshine and beautiful weather today here in PA is helping me out a lot.
For all of my fellow 'sickies' out there, you need to take care of #1 first so you can take care of everyone else.

Don't mean to bring you down, but be glad you don't feel like that all the time! We folks that have the illness misnamed CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome) feel like that 24/7 365 days a year. Most of us started off with what seemed a regular flu. A lot of us tried to "push thru" as we didn't want to give in to illness. Please take care of yourself and don't push too hard. It can be self-defeating.
I hope that none of you who are ill now are cursed with CFS.

I have been feeling so lousy lately I don't even get all the quilt board read seems I can only do computer about 5 or 10 minutes at a time before I am completly exhausted. But am thanking god for the borrowed time and will continue on .

So sorry you're feeling so sick and prayers go out to others who are facing serious illnesses themselves or to family members. I've been not feeling quite myself the last week or so, chills and exhaustion. Ended up in the ER last night and found out I have another kidney stone. As I was told by the ER doctor, it's too large to pass on my own so will probably be facing having it blasted. Have so much I need to get done, but having trouble sitting for very long. Hopefully now that spring is almost here we'll all be getting huge bursts of energy!!
