Toys for needy kiddiewinks.
I delivered 3 bags of quilts to our local Women's refuge last Monday and in talking to the one of the ladies they have a great need for toys! In the Refuge Homes the children have to share toys so they have nothing of their own, hence why they love there own quilts so I said I think I could do something about that and sent out an SOS.
Our local knitting volunteers are going to knit some "Trauma Teddies" and my patchwork group are going to make some Patchwork Scottie Pals and I am going to make some fun Piggies from Lynn Edwards Stash Buster quilts book, a fabulous buy. I am not allowed to post patterns on here but if you Google they will come up quickly.
Here is my 1st one, called Miss Kitty cos of the fabric used and I used a spare iron on label over the hand sewn opening as it didn't look to strong and it worked a treat so I shall print some off for all of them.

What is lovely is that Gaynor from LovequiltsUK says I could keep the kiddiewinks leftover fabrics and wadding, for filling, this piggy is made from that fabric, wasn't that kind of her.
